Blessing Box
As a result of economic impacts that continue to affect our local community members and friends,
the Henrietta United Methodist Church (HUMC) looked for ways to directly improve their neighbors
day-to-day living situations and help meet “unspoken” needs in the community.
A food pantry box, or a “Blessing Box” has been installed and stocked at the Henrietta United Methodist Church’s southwest parking lot area at 52148 Telegraph Rd. (S.R. 113), just east of the intersection of
S.R. 113/Gore Orphanage Rd. intersection in Henrietta Twp.
People in the community should feel free to take or give items to the blessing box, as their personal situations allow. The unlocked “Blessing Box” will include shelf-stable foods, like boxed macaroni and cheese, pasta items, peanut butter and canned goods like soup or vegetables. The food items are available to anyone that is hungry, regardless of ability to pay or “give back.”
The church is looking to spread the word to let people know that the “Blessing Box” is filled
and available.
Also, if you’re looking for a way to help prevent people in our community from going hungry, please consider helping us stock the Blessing Box with non-perishable items (no glass please!). Simply call
or email the church office at (440) 965-2400, or henriettaumchurch@gmail.com, to find out more
about how to help our local friendsand neighbors in need.
